El Capitan Hideaway
📍 7240 Yosemite Pkwy, Yosemite West, CA 95389 · Inside Yosemite National Park
About This Cabin
El Capitan Hideaway is a beautifully crafted, multi-level A-Frame cabin set among the Sierra Nevada pines at 7240 Yosemite Pkwy — one of only a handful of private vacation rentals actually located inside Yosemite National Park. The A-Frame architecture fills every room with warm natural light and generous forest views through large windows.
The upper unit of a private duplex, this 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom cabin comfortably sleeps up to 7 guests across three distinct bedrooms — and can accommodate up to 9 with a queen air mattress available upon request. A fully-equipped kitchen, multiple decks, and warm wood interiors make it the ideal base for a memorable Yosemite family vacation — whether you're here for big hikes, a group getaway, or simply to breathe mountain air. High-speed WiFi also makes it a great option for remote work stays.
Being part of the Yosemite West community means no timed-entry park reservation is required from your cabin door — drive directly into Yosemite Valley in about 10 minutes, reach Glacier Point Road in 20 minutes, or enjoy the serene forest setting right outside your door. No commute. No lines. Just the park.

Location & Getting Here
Address: 7240 Yosemite Pkwy, Yosemite West, CA 95389
Yosemite West sits directly inside Yosemite National Park, accessed via Highway 41 (Wawona Road) — the same route as the South Entrance. From the cabin, Yosemite Valley is approximately 13 miles (about 20 minutes), Glacier Point Road turnoff is just a few miles farther, and Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias is under 30 minutes away. The nearest grocery store is in El Portal or Mariposa — we recommend stocking up before arrival.
Because El Capitan Hideaway is located inside the park boundary, guests pass through the entrance station only once for their entire stay — a major convenience over hotels and rentals outside the park. No daily re-entry fees. No reservation lines.
Note: Chains or snow tires may be required during winter months. We'll keep you updated on road conditions before your stay.
